BARILOCHE: located in the south coast of the Nahuel Huapi lake near the nascent of the river Limay.
With 110,000 inhabitants is the biggest city in the Río Negro province and the most important tourist center in the Patagonia. In 1895 a group of German colonists installed a small trade in the place with the purpose of exporting products to Puerto Montt in Chile, but the foundation of San Carlos de Bariloche dates of 1902. The architect Alejandro Bustillo captured its inspiration in works that today are symbols of the city: the Civic Center, the beautiful Hotel Llao Llao and the Intendency of the National Park Nahuel Huapi. In 1924 comes to San Carlos de Bariloche the first tourist contingent that moved from Buenos Aires to Neuquén in train and then by car. Since then, thousands of visitors arrive to this beautiful city from many places of the world. This city has more than 20,000 lodging beds, international airport, the most important ski center of South-America, lot of campings, a wide range of trips, all the gastronomic alternatives that you can imagine and the richest thing: it produces 3,000 tons of exquisite chocolate per year. In winter the center of the activities of this area is in the base of the Hill Catedral, a ski center with more than 70 kilometers of hints, hotels, restaurants, sweet shops, solariums, 32 elevation means for 20,000 persons/hour and the most spectacular thing: a view from the summit that includes the glacier of the hill Tronador, the hill Otto, the lake Gutiérrez and the majestic lake Nahuel Huapi with its island Victoria. The city is extended on the coast of the lake Nahuel Huapi along several kilometers. The Bustillo coastal avenue travels this extension arriving to the peninsula where it is located the imposing Llao Llao Hotel & Resort.

Summer in Bariloche
During the summer, the adventurous love Bariloche's guided river rafting, paragliding, kayaking, golfing, and various other activities, all within the city or in close proximity. Winter in Bariloche
Winter in Bariloche provides excellent opportunities for skiing, an activity enjoyed from June to September. The main mountain is Cerro Catedral, only 18 kilometers from the city, with peaks resembling gothic temples and 53 runs of various difficulty for skiers of every level. A smaller skiing destination a few hours away from Bariloche is Cerro Chapelco in San Martin de los Andes.

City Highlights
If Bariloche's fantastic skiing and adventurous sports aren't enough, the city itself is thriving with cultural dining, dancing, and shopping. There are several surrounding area museums, including Don Moises Private Museum and the First Settlers Museum, and a plethora of great restaurants and entertainment, all within a few blocks of your lodging.

Lakes crossing: The trip begins in the city, being transferred to Puerto Pañuelos, embarking to Puerto Blest, the western end of one of the arms of the lake Nahuel Huapi. From there to Puerto Alegre by bus where a catamaran leaves traveling the beautiful lake Frías until Puerto Frías. There you'll enter chilean territory arriving by bus to Peulla in the east end of the lake ‘Todos los Santos’. You navigate by that lake toward the west until arriving to Petrohué, and then by bus skirting the beautiful south margin of the lake Llanquihue you arrives to Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt.

Isla Victoria: The trip start in the city heading to Puerto Pañuelos and after 30 minutes of sailing it arrives to Puerto Anchorena in the island Victoria, the biggest in the lake Nahuel Huapi. There there is a tele-seat that takes the tourists to the balcony of the hill Bella Vista. The island has native forest and fauna species. After another sailing tract you arrive to the peninsula Quetrihué where there is a path of 600 meters planked and stepped that allows the journey by the forest of arrayanes.....

Short Circuit: This is a trip that skirts the lake Nahuel Huapi by the south bank toward the west of the city visiting: beach Bonita (kilometer 8), beach Serena (kilometer 12), tele-seat of hill Campanario (kilometer 17) from where it is enjoyed the most beautiful view in the area, the imposing hotel Llao Llao, port Pañuelos and the traditional Swiss Colony
