| Directly experiencing another culture and making contact with the people are essential for a true understanding of the language. Consequently, our cultural and leisure program is an important component of our course program, complementing classroom activities through personal experience of the Spanish-speaking environment. Social and Cultural activities are optional and include, for example, visits to the different neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, like the aristocratic areas: Puerto Madero; Recoleta; San Martín Square area and the Tango and popular culture areas La Boca and San Telmo. All these visits are made in groups joined and guided by a teacher and are very helpful to practice Spanish. Some of the activities are for free. They are included in the price of the courses. Students only pay admission charges or tickets. Tango Classes in Group• Tuesdays from 7:30 pm to 9 pm • Thursdays from 6 pm to 7:30 pm • Saturdays from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm. After this class, we go to dance tango. Each class costs AR$ 10 (approximately U$S 3.30). One-on-one classes can be arranged. They cost AR$ 100 an hour (about U$S 35) Salsa Classes in Group • Tuesdays from 9 pm to 10 pm Each class costs AR$ 7 (approximately U$S 2.30). One-on-one classes can be arranged. They cost AR$ 30 an hour (about U$S 10) Classes of Argentinean CinemaTwo teachers, one specialized in Argentinean cinema and another specialized in Argentinean literature, give this course. Each class is focused on one of the following subjects: • Tango • Immigration • Buenos Aires city: suburbs and their characters • Social movements • History of the Argentinean cinema • Cinema and literature Wednesdays from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm Fee: U$S 20
A day trip to a typical estancia including transfer, breakfast, lunch and a show of Folklore On Sundays. Fee: AR$ 150 (U$S 50)
